SIFFL 2000 Rules

Welcome to the 4th year of the SIFFL.  My name is Scott Barr and I will be the commissioner of these five leagues, the TMWFFL, GTDWFFL, SMDMFFL, AMFFL, and FATRFL. We have the official SIFFL E-mail and Web Site.  However, each separate league will have a web page and e-mail address of their own so they can stay updated easily and avoid confusion.

LEAGUES AND DIVISIONS

TMWFFL (Two Minute Warning FFL)
-8 Teams divided into two divisions.
-Each team will play every team twice for a total of 14 regular season games.

GTDWFFL (Going to Disney World FFL)
-8 Teams divided into two divisions.
-Each team will play every team twice for a total of 14 regular season games.

SMDMFFL (Show Me The Money FFL)
-10 Teams divided into two divisions.
-Each team will play the other four teams in their division twice each and the five teams outside their division once each for a total of 13 regular season games.

AMFFL (All Madden FFL)
-10 Teams divided into two divisions.
-Each team will play the other four teams in their division twice each and the five teams outside their division once each for a total of 13 regular season games.

FATRFL (First and Ten RFL)
-12 Teams divided into three divisions.
-Each team will play the other three teams in their division twice and eight teams outside their division once each for a total of 14 regular season games.

   
ROSTERS AND STARTERS

Each league’s draft will have 15 rounds.  There are no requirements at each position for your rosters just as long as you can fill the starters listed below each week.

Each week you will start a total of 7 players and a Defense/Special Teams
1 QB
2 RB
3 WR/TE
1 K
1 D/ST

Starting lineups must be sent in by Saturday at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.  They must be sent to the individual league email address and NOT SIFFL2000@yahoo.com

    
DRAFT ORDER
   
The draft will be in a snake format.  An example for the 10-team league is shown below:
   First round: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
   Second round: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
   Third round: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
   And so on.....

The draft order for each league will be set up at a later date.  It will be emailed to all owners and posted on each league web page.


TRADING/FREE AGENT PICK-UP

Free agents can also be picked up and dropped any time before Week #12 on a first come, first serve basis. All you need to do is send me an email listing the player you want to pickup and the player you would like to drop or place on IR.  The pickups/drops MUST be sent to the individual league e-mail, NOT SIFFL2000@yahoo.com.  Only 15 players/defenses can be on your active roster at a time.  Thus if you pick up a player, a player must be dropped or a player can be placed on Injured Reserve if they are injured. There will be two spots on IR for each team.  Once a player on IR plays, you must activate them or drop them before the next week.

Trading can be done at any time during the season.  The only catch is that if a trade is made after Week #12, it must involve an equal number of players changing teams (ex: 1 for 1 or 2 for 2)
Any time before Week #12, trading for example 1 player for 3 players is allowed but appropriate pickups and drops must be made immediately so that each team has only 15 players.

SCHEDULE

Each league’s schedule will be posted on their web page at a later date.

 
PLAYOFFS

In each league, six teams will advance to the playoffs.  To avoid confusion, the specifics for each league are listed below.

TMWFFL/GTDWFFL
The two division winners along with the top four remaining teams will advance.  These four remaining teams will be the wild card entrants.  The top wild card team will face the bottom wild card team and the middle two wild cards will play in Week #15.  The two division winners will have a bye.  The two wild cards that advance will face two division winners in Week #16.  In Week #17, the winners will face in the Championship game.

SMDMFFL/AMFFL
The two division winners along with the top four remaining teams will advance.  These four remaining teams will be the wild card entrants.  The top wild card team will face the bottom wild card team and the middle two wild cards will play in Week #14.  The two division winners will have a bye.  The two wild cards that advance will face two division winners in Week #15.  In Week #16, the winners will face in the Championship game.

FATRFL
These playoffs will be the same as the NFL playoffs.  The three division winners along with the top three remaining teams will advance.  These three remaining teams will be the wild card entrants.  The lowest division winner will face the lowest wild card team while the #1 wild card team will face the #2 wild card team in Week #15.  The top two division winners will have a bye.  The two teams that win in Week # 15 will face the top two division winners in Week #16.  In Week #17, the winners will face in the FATRFL Championship game.
   
    
TIEBREAKERS
   
If a tie occurs during the regular season, it will become part of the standings and there will be no tiebreaker to change the outcome of the game.

If there is a tie in the standings after the regular seasons, the team advancing to the playoffs will be decided first by head to head record.  If this is tied then the team with more total points scored throughout the regular season will advance.

During the playoffs, each team will have to submit along with their lineup, a tiebreaker player.  This player can NOT be one of the team’s starters for that week and must be chosen from the remaining players on the bench.  The points this player has for the week will only be used if the playoff game is tied after the starters for each team have been calculated.  Then the winner of the game will be the team whose tiebreaker player scored the most that week.
